- Extraordinary line-up featuring six cars with less than 1,000 miles
- Includes rare Aston Martin V8 Vantage, JPS Edition Lotus Esprit, and unregistered Jaguar XJS
- Iconic Collectors’ Car Sale scheduled for Saturday 23 August at Silverstone Festival
More than 20 cars with less than 20,000 miles will cross the block at Iconic Auctioneers, Collector’s Car Sale on Saturday 23rd August during the Silverstone Festival, as the renowned purveyors of automotive excellence celebrate a host of super low mileage classic, sports and supercars.
A truly unique 2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage 'V8 Racing Collection' is one such highlight of the sale. One of just seven bespoke cars commissioned by royalty, it shows just 626 kilometres. Finished in vibrant ‘Kermit’ Green complimented by Park Green leather interior, it features exclusive badging and detailed provenance, inspired by Aston Martin's Nürburgring 24-hour race car. This virtually new vehicle has been recommissioned by Stratton Motor Company and remains impeccably preserved (Estimate: £50,000 - £60,000).
With an odometer reading only 1,840 miles, a highly desireable 1978 Lotus Esprit S2 World Championship Commemorative JPS Edition is also sure to make an impression on bidders. Finished in an iconic black and gold livery to commemorate the 1978 Formula 1 World Championship-winning, John Player Special-liveried Lotus 79s, just 185 examples are believed to have been produced. This first production version of the JPS Edition has benefitted from significant care and sparing use throughout its life. (Estimate: £50,000 - £60,000).
Two rare Jaguars also feature prominently. First, an exceptional 1994 XJS 4.0-litre Convertible, never registered and displaying only 306 miles from new. Owned by Jaguar since its production, this rare manual gearbox example is finished in black with Nimbus Grey leather and represents a significant piece of the marque's history (Estimate: £80,000 - £100,000). Secondly, a limited-edition 2008 Jaguar XKR-S finished in Ebony Black, one of just 50 right-hand drive examples, showing only 237 miles since new. Also offered by Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works, it is presented in near-new condition (Estimate: £30,000 - £35,000).
Other remarkable sub-1000 mile vehicles include a pristine 2022 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Convertible (30 miles, Estimate: £35,000 - £45,000), a 2022 Morgan Plus Four 110 Works Edition with 85 miles (Estimate: £35,000 - £42,000), and a virtually new 2011 Nissan 370Z GT that has covered just 464 miles (Estimate: £25,000 - £30,000).
Rob Hubbard, Managing Director and Principal Auctioneer, commented: “This sale represents a rare opportunity to secure incredibly low-mileage vehicles, each showcasing automotive excellence, unique histories, and collector appeal. We look forward to welcoming enthusiasts and collectors to this special auction event at Silverstone Festival.”
