This weighty sign measures 27cm x 40cm

DESCRIPTION

Showing signs of ageing, this is a particularly interesting sign as it was used as a ready reckoner on a petrol forecourt, before the days when the pump calculated the cost, so a motorist could calculate the price he would pay when he filled up. It also is a piece of social history when the price of petrol was so stable that Karpol Car Polish were confident enough to produce a metal sign that would last for many months, if not years. The sign measures 45cm x 30cm
