DESCRIPTION
Background:
Launched in 1996, the Jaguar XK8 marked a fresh chapter in the marque's grand touring tradition. With sleek lines penned by Geoff Lawson, the XK8 evoked the elegance of classic E-Types while introducing Jaguar’s first production V8 engine – the 4-litre AJ-V8. Coupled with a smooth automatic transmission and a cosseting interior, it proved to be a compelling blend of performance, comfort and timeless design. As a convertible, the XK8 offered top-down motoring with the poise and presence expected of a Jaguar GT.
The Car:
First registered in May 2003 and presented in classic British Racing Green, this car came quite late in the production run – always a welcome detail. Over the last 22 years, it has had just two owners, with the current custodian having cared for the car since 2003 – an extraordinary 19 years.
The condition of the car is excellent. The bodywork and underbody are in good order, with signs it may have had some paintwork over the years. Likewise, the interior is excellent and very well kept.
The history is documented via a 3" thick file chronicling the car’s maintenance over the years, mostly at main agents. Supplied freshly serviced, with a nearly 12-month MOT running until 27th April 2026.
