SUMMARY
An example of one Italy's most iconic motorcycles, offered today with just 16,000 miles.
DESCRIPTION
Background:
Unveiled in 1994, the Ducati 916 Monoposto quickly redefined the landscape of sportbike design and performance. With its aggressive styling, single-seat configuration and signature underseat exhausts, the 916 was more than just a motorcycle, it was a rolling piece of Italian art. Designed by Massimo Tamburini, the 916 wasn’t just about looks; its razor-sharp handling and race-bred pedigree made it a dominant force on the track, setting a new benchmark for superbikes in the 1990s. Even today, it remains a cult icon, revered by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Bike:
- Purchsed by the vendor from the renown Dick Craven and the Cravens Motocycle Museum
- Stored in the museum between 2010 and 2022
- Bike was serviced during its tenancy at the museum, however there is no paperwork to prove this
- This UK-registered from new example is showing only 16,000 miles on the odometer and is in good running order
- In 2000 this bike was noted as a 'Category C - Insurance Loss'
