COMPETITION AND CLASSIC BIKES RACE TO SALE AT SILVERSTONE AUCTIONS THIS WEEKEND

  • Lot 656 the ex Dennis Langton 1947 Norton Model 40 Manx
  • Lot 618 a 1996 Seeley framed Matchless G50
  • Lot 619 the 1963 Goodwood Revival eligible Norton “Domi Racer”
  • Lot 664 the 1956 BSA DBD34 Gold Star Daytona

Silverstone Auctions May Sale this weekend is their first auction in the past 18 months where bidders are safely welcomed back into the auction hall at Stoneleigh Park. This is also their first dedicated motorcycle sale which features over 80 bikes!

In the line-up are five competition race bikes up for grabs, they include Lot 656 the ex-Dennis Langton 1947 Norton Model 40 Manx with TT provenance, Lot 618 a 1996 Seeley framed Matchless G50 that’s ready to go, Lot 619 the 1963 Goodwood Revival eligible Norton “Domi Racer” and possibly the rarest Lot 664 the 1956 BSA DBD34 Gold Star Daytona, built to race at the famous Daytona 200 beach race.

Mark Bryan, Motorcycle Specialist for Silverstone Auctions, added “I am excited for my first sale with Silverstone Auctions with such a great line-up of bikes! Going under the hammer are also some excellent classic bikes. These include Lot 632 MV Agusta Magni 850 Superlight, Lot 680 Triumph X75 Hurricane and Lot 659 Honda CB750 K0 with many more available to preview on their website.

Silverstone Auctions are offering in person viewings of the motorcycles from now – 21st May at Stoneleigh Park. Viewings require an appointment, and this should be made by calling 01926 691141. This will be the first Silverstone Auctions sale where bidders can attend in person for over a year, alternatively, bidding will still be available online, via The Saleroom or Proxibid by phone or via commission too.

Silverstone Auctions will start The May Sale off with Automobilia at 10am, then Motorcycles at 11am and then Classic cars at 2pm.

When the catalogue is ready there will always be a link on our home page to the E-Catalogue. Printed versions are also posted out to vendors and selected buyers and are available to purchase at the auction.

All vehicles are submitted to our internal valuation committee who between them have a wealth of experience in all makes of classic and competition cars as well as Classic and Vintage Motorcycles. The value is agreed between the specialist and the seller of the vehicle in line with current market conditions and the sellers expectations. 

Please register for your preferred method as soon as possible (online, by phone or via commission), at least 48 hours before the sale, to allow sufficient time for registration to be processed. Alternatively, you can register to bid in person when you arrive.
