A one owner, high spec 2022 Ferrari 812 Competizione
A one‑owner, high‑spec 2022 Ferrari 812 Competizione wowed crowds at Iconic Auctioneers’ Sale at Supercar Fest on 17 May, as it fetched £904,875. Finished in striking Giallo Triplo Strato (triple yellow) over Nero Alcantara and showing just 2,200 miles, this was surely one of the finest of the 999 examples of the 812 Competizione sold worldwide.

Barn find 1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupé
Meanwhile, a 1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupé, driven into a barn for storage in 2011 and offered exactly as found, dust and all, tripled its estimate amid a bidding frenzy. With 33 registered telephone bidders as well as numerous bidders in the room and online, bidding raced to £76,500. This wonderfully preserved G50‑gearbox example that remains largely original, obviously captured bidders’ imaginations with its untouched state and clear potential.

Both Ford Escort RS Cosworths offered in the sale do £100,000 plus
Both Ford Escort RS Cosworths offered in the sale also attracted fervent interest, each passing £100,000 and their upper estimates. The Pacifica Blue 'Big Turbo' Lux example, showing fewer than 25,000 miles, achieved £118,125, while its Radiant Red, one‑owner counterpart with just 12,354 miles realised £105,750. Together they underlined the appetite for well‑preserved modern classics and set the tone for the sale, ahead of a 1994 Escort Cosworth in Moondust Silver offered at Iconic Auctioneers' next sale, the Classic Sale on 1 June.
Strong set of results for the Maranello marque
The headline success of the Ferrari 812 Competizione headed a strong set of results for the Maranello marque, which also included a 986bhp plug‑in hybrid 2021 SF90 Stradale that sold at £275,625. Further strong figures included a Tailor‑Made 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider (£154,687), a rare‑hued 2010 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE with just 11,660 miles (£92,250), a manual 1999 550 Maranello (£84,375) and a carefully maintained 1989 328 GTS (£66,375).
Rob Hubbard, Managing Director and Principal Auctioneer, said: “From genuine barn‑finds to cherished modern classics and the rarest low‑volume supercars, today’s figures confirm that buyers will pay strong money for originality and quality. Vendors want a partner who is straightforward, trustworthy and able to connect their car with the right audience, and these results show that our approach delivers exactly that.”
