In February 2006, Porsche revealed the first generation 997 GT3 which, in addition to a new 415bhp, 3.6-litre, flat-six engine featured ‘zero-lift’ aerodynamics, meaning the car creates only aerodynamic downforce and no grip-diminishing ‘lift’. The new model made use of a modified, race-developed version of Porsche's active suspension making it the first of Porsche's RS or GT3 versions to feature an electronically adjustable suspension system. The six-speed manual transmission was also adapted to the new GT3 engine's extended power band with better-matched gear ratios and consequently, performance was impressive with a 0-62 mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 193 miles per hour (311 km/h). The GT3 returned to the styling of the original, with a sculpted flowing rear spoiler rather than the flat-slab RS variety.

Offered here is a C-16, UK-supplied, right-hand drive Porsche 911(997) GT3 specified in Basalt Black Metallic with a black interior and black carpets. Supplied new by Porsche Centre Cardiff and first registered on 10 January 2007, to date this lovely GT3 has covered only 16,400 miles supported by MOTs and a detailed service history with all maintenance carried out by Porsche main agents. The most recent entry into the service book was a regular two-year inspection by Porsche Centre Tonbridge at 13,989 miles, supported by paper invoices in the history file.

The condition of this GT3 is excellent and Porsche inspection reports within the history file leave little doubt that this is a good, straight original example. The black paintwork retains a deep gloss and is even across the car, the high-quality interior shows little signs of wear if any as you might expect with such low mileage.

Accompanying this example is the aforementioned history file which contains old MOTs, inspection reports, old warranty paperwork, details of the Vehicle Tracking System fitted and the original service book stamped up-to-date. Also included is a Porsche battery conditioner, spare key and a fitted indoor car cover.

The first generation 997 GT3 is rightfully becoming increasingly sought after by both enthusiasts and collectors.
