The AC Cobra was and still is an extremely powerful, hand-crafted sports car that started life as the AC Ace. Its creation, production and ongoing development has been the result of joint Anglo American co-operation between Carroll Shelby, AC Cars Limited and The Ford Motor Company. The AC/Shelby/Ford Cobra was a huge success. The combination of British craftsmanship, American V8 power and Carroll Shelby's racing ambitions made the Cobra a legend and today it ranks among the most sought after of classic motor cars. Today's AC Cobra is still entirely hand-made by the same traditional British coach-building methods used by AC Cars in the 1960s. Each part is painstakingly hand crafted to the highest possible standards from the carbon fibre, formally aluminium, outer body to the leather trimmed interior. The Cobra name and Trademark were sold to Ford Motor Company by Carroll Shelby in 1965 and AC Cars are the only Company in the world licenced by Ford to use the famed Cobra Trademark and name on their product.

This genuine Mark V AC Cobra was developed and manufactured in Malta by AC Cars along with only three other right hand drive examples in 2007. This Cobra is extremely light, as the body was constructed using carbon fibre rather than aluminium but it still retains a mighty 5.0 litre Ford V8 with 340bhp on tap and sequential fuel injection. Having covered only 660 miles from new, the light grey metallic paintwork and interior are in superb condition. Mechanical specifications include an Edelbrock inlet manifold and carburettor, front and rear fully independent Multi Link suspension and vented brake discs. Accompanying the car is a full tonneau cover, current MoT test certificate and Swansea V5C.
