SUMMARY

Arguably the pick of the 997-era 911s, being a cool-again Targa 'S', 4WD,= and with a manual gearbox; just 47,000 miles and great history.

DESCRIPTION

  • UK-supplied (C16) right-hand drive 911 (997.1) Targa 4S in Cobalt Blue with Sport Chrono package. Just 47,500 miles and recently serviced
  • 6-speed manual gearbox, the most involving and driver-focused means of swapping cogs
  • The 4S differed from its siblings with an increased engine capacity to 3.8 litres (355bhp), lowered suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), 19" wheels, an uprated braking system (from the 911 Turbo), upgraded braking system, sports exhaust, Bi-Xenon headlights and aluminium trim in the interior
  • The 997 4S was and still is widely regarded as the greatest non-turbo version of the 911 with the 4WD System providing the grip that ensured stable handling and predictable cornering, eminently suitable for wet British roads
