1994 Mini Cooper Monte Carlo LE

The 1994 Mini Cooper Monte Carlo was a limited edition model produced to commemorate Paddy Hopkirk’s iconic victory in the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, marking 30 years since the achievement. Based on the Mini Cooper 1.3i, it combined classic Mini driving characteristics with distinctive cosmetic and mechanical enhancements.

Only 200 examples were built, finished in either Flame Red or Black, some featuring contrasting white roofs and mirror caps. The exterior was distinguished by four auxiliary front driving lamps, Monte Carlo badging and 12" Minilite-style alloy wheels and the cabin featured a red and cream interior with Monte Carlo-specific detailing, a Walnut dashboard and a rev counter.

Powered by the 1,275cc single-point fuel-injected A-series engine, the Monte Carlo edition retained the Cooper’s lively performance while benefiting from servo-assisted brakes, winding front windows and pop-out rear windows. Its rarity, combined with its motorsport-inspired specification, makes it a highly desirable collector's Mini.

Offered here is a one of the 60 special edition Monte Carlo models finished in Black, it also features a John Cooper Works conversion to S-Spec which added performance upgrades and Recaro sports front seats, supported by a unique plaque and JCW invoice on file.

More recently, this striking Mini has benefited from a thorough inspection and service by a recognised Mini specialist, as well as professional detailing inside and out. As a result, it is presented in outstanding, near mint condition.

At the time of cataloguing, the speedometer indicated just under 47,000 miles, a figure supported by the accompanying history file. This includes old MOT certificates, the current MOT, V5C registration document, the JCW conversion certificate and a collection of invoices, many issued by John Cooper.
