1994 Lancia Delta Integrale Evo II

First seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1979, the Lancia Delta Integrale is best known for its domination of The World Rally Championship in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Constantly being developed, the first "Evoluzione' cars were built at the end of 1991 and carried on through 1992 and these 'Evo' models were to be the final homologation cars built for the Lancia Rally Team competing under the Martini Racing banner.

Arriving in June 1993, a further development of the HF Integrale naturally became known as the Evo II and featured an updated version of the 2-litre 16-valve turbo engine producing a little more power (215bhp) and incorporated a three-way catalyst and a Lambda probe, with everything being run by a new Marelli integrated engine control system.

In addition to the mechanical changes, the Evo II received a cosmetic and functional facelift that included, new 16" light alloy rims with 205/45 ZR 16 tyres, a body colour roof moulding to underline the connection between the roof and the Solar control windows, an aluminium fuel cap and air-intake grilles on the front mudguards, a red-painted cylinder head, a new leather-covered three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, and Recaro seats upholstered in beige Alcantara with diagonal stitching.

This very special Evo II is finished in Metallic Cherry Red with a beautiful Recaro Suede interior enhanced by the black leather-wrapped Momo steering wheel, black dashboard and black detailing. On paper, Black and Beige are not natural bedfellows but in this case, with the bright Red coachwork the result is spectacular. The previous owner has chosen to retain the original delivery polyethene wrapping in the footwells and lower doors, and whilst this is unusual, it means that these areas will remain pristine. The odometer reads a mere 13,540 kilometers and having inspected the car closely this seems totally feasible and feel that you might struggle to find a better-presented Integrale. The paintwork retains an excellent shine, the door shuts and panel gaps look even, the engine bay is tidy and untouched, and the whole car retains a sense of originality.

The car was imported by marque specialist Walkers Garage Ltd. in 2014 from Japan, and our vendor subsequently purchased the car from them and immediately asked them to go through the car carefully, prepare it for the UK and attend to any areas that were not 100%. Walkers in Northallerton are undoubtedly one of the UK's top specialists in Lancia Deltas and particularly Integrales. In July 2015, Walkers felt they could achieve no more and returned the car to our vendor in exchange for £7,894.50. Reading just 13,167kms at that point, the car has traveled a mere 373 kms since recommissioning.

Accompanying the Evo are its handbook, manual, a number of 'Shakens' (Japanese MoTs) and Walkers' invoice. This car has a current MoT Certificate until 2018 and is fully UK registered with no taxes to pay.

Ready to be driven and enjoyed, or perhaps even put away. It does seem a shame not to use it, as these cars are “possibly the most fun you can have with your clothes on” but, on the other hand, they have significantly increased in value every year for the last ten years. This superb, low-milage, Integrale Evo II represent a fantastic opportunity to purchase a car that delivers at every level.

This is one of the best examples we have ever seen, and would strongly recommend viewing of this car to fully appreciate just how special it is.
