DESCRIPTION
- Paris Dakar winning model and produced by Yamaha between 1989 and 1994
- Rugged and reliable and built for endurance racing
- Rare to find in this condition
- This early example has been restored to a very high standard
- Restoration work includes, frame and associated parts powder coated, fixings replaced with stainless steel, suspension rebuilt with seals and bushes replaced, front and rear brakes rebuilt, wheels rebuilt with Takahashi rims and stainless spokes, top end engine refresh (all within standard tolerances), new Yamaha piston rings, engine rebuilt and bearings replaced or checked, new cam chain and camshaft checked, shims checked, engine repainted, new clutch plates and heavy duty springs, electrics overhaul and checked, ignition barrel replaced, starter motor refurb, new battery/regulator, cooling system checked, tank checked and new fuel taps/hoses, carburettors sonic cleaned and rebuilt, new air filters and bodywork repainted and new decals
- 500 miles completed since restoration and all torque settings checked along with oil and filter change
