DESCRIPTION

British race car constructor Reynard, established by distinguished designer Adrian Reynard, was the dominant force during the 1980s and 1990s in Formula Ford, Formula Three and F3000 throughout Europe and Japan before moving to the United States, where numerous wins were achieved in IndyCar races - including the Indianapolis 500.

Purchased new in 1990 by the Le Mans Company, who were the Japanese Reynard agents, chassis 90D/03 competed with the factory team in an All-Japananese F3000 Championship, for drivers Kurosawa and Herbert that season, this particular car being the Herbert chassis.

Following the successful 1990 season, the car was stored by the Le Mans Company until 1996 when it was sold to the current owner who, in turn, has stored the car until 2009.

In 2009/2010 Chassis 90D/03 was rebuilt by renowned specialists - Hepworth International - and has only completed a shake down test since. This must be one of the most original 90D/Mugen chassis available. This complete car is offered with the original chassis, engine and gearbox combination as supplied by the factory in 1990. A rare oportunity to acquire a piece of history that was driven in period by 1991 Le Mans winner and 1995 British Grand-Prix winner, Johnny Herbert.
