Homologation version of the Cagiva 900 i.e. Elefant enduro bike
DESCRIPTION
- Unusual pairing of a Ducati Desmo 900cc engine in a Cagiva adventure bike chassis, but it worked with devastating effect
- Powerful V-Twin engine with enormous torque and a great handling and robust frame
- Edi Orioli won the 1990 Paris Dakar on a 944 Elefant Lucky Explorer
- This example is one of the few homologation i.e. 900 Elefants produced
- Differing from the normal 900 Elefant with the addition of Ohlins adjustable rear shock, Webber fuel injection, single front disc, twin oil cooler radiators, 5-speed wet clutch, upgraded exhaust and heavy duty side stand and bash plate
- Originally registered in Croatia with Polish Cagiva Elefant rally history and imported into the UK in 2022
- An older cosmetic restoration and presented in running order
- Showing 75,000 kms (46,000 miles)
- Will have an MOT until August 2026 at the point of auction
- History file containing import info, numerous photos and other associated paperwork
- One of the rarest Cagiva Elefants produced that took our vendor 2 years to find one
