The car was purchased new from JF Keen of Gamlingay Ford dealers and remained in the same family to the present day, being owned by two brothers, transferring to the present owner in 1992 The car was SORN in 2004 and subject to a full restoration over the last 7 years. The car was fully stripped to a bare shell and subject to a complete rotisserie restoration’áduring which any panels required were replaced and the shell interior, underside and exterior were resprayed in the original colour by a professional’árestoration company.’áThe car was then subject to a complete restoration by the owner, a time served professional mechanic, to the original factory specification.

The car interior is the original (no speakers having been fitted to the doors or rear shelf).

Remarks

The engine was re-bored with new pistons, new bottom end bearings, the cylinder head was overhauled and fitted with new valves, new timing chain, oil pump, water pump and clutch being fitted. The carburettor, alternator and starter motor were refurbished by professional companies. The engine was refitted with new engine and transmission mounts, all new hoses and a new exhaust system.

Remarks

The suspension was refurbished with new front struts and top mounts, Koni adjustable rear shock absorbers and all new suspension bushes fitted throughout. The brake master cylinder and calipers were overhauled with new pistons and seals, new rear brake cylinders, new brake lines and hoses and new brake shoes and pads fitted. New bumpers, bumper end caps and overriders, new door mirrors, new rear lights, fog light, reversing light, front headlights and spotlights were fitted. All of the wheels were refurbished and fitted with new tyres.
