An air-cooled, two-stroke, Torque Induction, twin-carb, parallel twin from Yamaha offering 20bhp @8000rpm and a five-speed gearbox.
DESCRIPTION
- Yamaha's RD200 was produced from 1973 and was a great learner-legal commuter bike until the rule change in 1983
- To get around the learner limit of 125cc, this bike was re-registered as a 125cc with the DVLA, however, the presence of a starter button gives it away as the RD125 never had an electric start
- Powered by an air-cooled, two-stroke, Torque Induction, twin-carb, parallel twin, the bike was quite fast for its size with some magazine testers exceeding 80mph
- High-revving potential, 20bhp @8,000rpm
- Telescopic forks, dual shocks and a 5-speed gearbox
- This bike is in great condition for its age and has covered just 8,745 miles
- Stored for some time, so an element of recommissioning is to be expected
