SUMMARY
An astonishing find, this very low mileage, 924 Lux has been cherished by its two keepers for almost fifty years.
DESCRIPTION
- Launched in 1976, the 924 was a complete departure by Porsche, in that it featured a front-mounted, 1984cc water cooled 4-cylinder engine producing.125bhp, which was then fed to a rear mounted gearbox / transaxle
- Finished in Petrol Blue Metallic with a remarkably well preserved interior in Mocha with Tan leatherette/ brown herringbone cloth seats and mustard carpets
- Optioned from new with the five-speed, dog-leg gearbox, a lift-out sunroof with a brown leather storage bag, and a matching load cover
- Supplied by Roger Clarke Cars Ltd. of Leicester with its original stickers still in the rear window and a dealer 'Welcome' letter in the file
- Our vendor, working for the first owner, had always coveted the car and, happily, his wife managed to acquire the Porsche for him sixteen years ago as a surprise gift
- Displaying just 30,202 miles, it has been MOT'd regularly and remains in very good overall condition having been garaged from new, but with little use recently it's time to find a new home

Remarks
Bought by its first owner's husband, as an apology we understand for his buying a house without first gaining permission, this wonderful example was cherished by its first keeper. Used rarely througout its life by its two owners, the car has been regularly started and driven minimally in the last few years by our vendors son. it presents today in astonishing condition having been garaged for its entire life, and protected by the very sheets to this day under which it slumbered during the eighties and nineties. Our vendor, working for the first owner, had always coveted the car, and it is perhaps fitting that it was his own wife who then managed to acquire the car as a gift for him sixteen years ago. A 'chance' conversation between the two ladies over lunch set the wheels in motion, and our vendor has cosseted the car ever since.
