SUMMARY

Very well presented, mechanically refreshed and just less than 50,000km, the possibilities are endless.

DESCRIPTION

  • Since its introduction in 1961, the French took the Renault Quatrelle to their hearts, quickly becoming a best seller and outstripping the production of its Citroën rival, the 2CV. The mainstay of small businesses and larger corporations, the Fourgonnette was once ubiquitous but sadly now, 62 years after its introduction, nearly extinct.
  • This charismatic example imported from Italy in 2015, was purchased by a Renault collector and kept in storage
  • Since then, it has been resprayed in its original shade of blue with period Alpine graphics and mechanically refreshed
  • Powered by an 845cc, water-cooled, 32bhp inline four-cylinder coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox
  • Features include the unique rear 'Giraffon', literally meaning Giraffe-hatch, so long loads can be accommodated easily. Otherwise the wide-opening rear door allows unimpeded access to the surprisingly roomy load area. A half-height bulkhead keeps the driver and passenger safe.
  • Kept in dry storage for most of its pampered English life
  • Delightfully presented little Fourgonnette offering a variety of uses, totally classless and welcome anywhere
