SUMMARY
An increasingly rare right-hand drive CSA that has been the subject of an older restoration and still presents well.
DESCRIPTION
- Launched in 1968, the E9 Coupé was one of the most handsome cars ever made by BMW, sleek and elegant with an airy cabin, slim windscreen pillars and a large glass area
- Utilising the 3-litre, M30 six-cylinder, the twin-carburettor CS produced a useful 180bhp
- Nicely finished and expensive when new - the 3.0 CSA cost more in the UK than an Aston Martin DBS
- UK-delivered in right-hand drive, this automatic CS was first registered here in June 1973 and is thought to be one of just 27 such examples that remain UK-registered
- Finished in Ceylon Metallic with its original interior which shows a pleasing patina and could be enjoyed exactly as is, or improved upon depending on your requirements
- The recorded mileage, at the time of viewing, was a believed genuine 35,830
- We are advised that the off-side electric window is currently not functioning, a replacement motor has been fitted but the wiring will require attention
- Has remained in storage in recent years and, although we are told that the BMW is running and driving well, an element of recommissioning may be required
- Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to satisfy yourself that the vehicle fulfils your expectations
