SUMMARY
Rare these days, this early second generation 2.5PI has been in single ownership from new. Offered without Reserve.
DESCRIPTION
- Announced in October 1969 as the Triumph 2.5PI Mk2, although – paradoxically – the injected car was never badged thus, instead carrying the ‘2500 Injection’ and ‘2500 Mk2’ legends on front and rear respectively
- The most obvious change from the Mk1 was the revised body style, once again penned by Giovanni Michelotti. Externally, the saloon gained new, longer bonnet and boot sections largely inspired by the forthcoming Stag
- Other changes included brake upgrades, wider wheels, a redesigned dashboard, revised trim and new seats covered in Ambla Leathercloth
- First registered on 01/11/1971, this Mk2 is fitted with a manual gearbox with overdrive
- Owned by our vendor from new. The V5C shows one former registered keeper (vendor change of address)
- Re-sprayed in its original Wedgwood Blue c.ten years ago. Work completed on fuelling system in August 2023 - metering unit, fuel pump and injectors reconditioned
- 97,667 miles indicated. MOT until April 2025.
- Always been garage stored. Used as a family car until c.1984 and then as second car/classic
- What a special find. Offered without Reserve.
