SUMMARY
Impressively presented and refreshingly standard, this 1967 289 Fastback has patently been cherished by its long-term owner.
DESCRIPTION
- Here at Iconic Auctioneers, we do see quite a number of 1967 Mustangs, freshly painted in Highland Green and presented as Bullitt lookalikes, with varying degrees of success however, happily, this is not one of those
- Firstly, it's Dark Moss Green Metallic, not Highland Green and is a standard, unmolested, 289 Fastback car from 1967, arguably the sweet-spot of first generation cars
- Beautiful Saddle Tan interior, totally cherished, an absolute credit to our vendor
- From its VIN, we can see that it originates from Ford's New Jersey plant and is confirmed as a 1967 Fastback optioned with a 2-valve 289 and finished in its current colour
- It was imported by our vendor from Texas 19 years ago, first UK-registered in 2006 and the V5 shows no former keepers
- The odometer indicates just 46,961 miles and the current MOT, valid until April 2026, was issued with 'no advisories'
- Our vendor is particularly fastidious and has spent thousands on the car. It has been his 'pride and joy', perhaps summed up in his own words 'I purchased the car as a cruiser and NOT as a tyre burner. I would appreciate if the next owner has the same intentions'

Remarks
The present fastidious owner has owned the car for nearly 20 years (19 years to be exact). I bought the car in from Texas. First registered in the UK in 2006 and the V5 shows no former keepers. This car has not been seen in any magazines or been featured in any magazines so it really is 'fresh to market'. This is the first time this car has been offered for sale in the UK. I have done anything and everything, and kept up doing anything that the car needed doing, as I am not using the car as much as I would liked to (as you can see by the mileage) and due to looking after my 94 year old mother, and my health ailing, sadly it is time for the car to be sold. I purchased this car as a cruiser and NOT as a tyre burner. I would appreciate if the next owner has the same intentions. Thousand have been spent on the Car. Please try and keep the car in the way it deserves. The number plate I regard as a cherished plate as they did a 289 and a 302 Engine Size is sold with the car. MOT until April 2026 issued with no advisories.
