DESCRIPTION

  • The Mk1 Mini (only known as the Mk1 after the arrival of its successor) was the first version of BMC's Mini model and is characterised by its sliding windows, external door hinges and 'moustache' grille.
  • Produced between 1959 and 1967 at the Longbridge Plant and sold under both Austin (Austin Seven) and Morris (Morris Mini-Minor) marque names
  • Dating from 1963, this example has benefited from an historic bare metal respray with photographs cataloguing a thorough restoration
  • Full mechanical restoration with an engine rebuild (see images)
  • Now presenting well in Smoke Grey over a Powder Blue interior and understood to start, run and drive very well
  • Supplied with with a good history file including a letter from the 2nd owner, drivers handbook, restoration images and parts list
