SUMMARY
A good looking, matching numbers, BT7 with many lightweight panels that's benefitted from a ground-up restoration and now presents superbly in Aston Martin Racing Green.
DESCRIPTION
- The first-generation AH 3000 was introduced in July 1959 replacing the 2.6-litre 100/6 and was offered with a choice of 2-seater (BN7) or 2+2 (BT7) body styles.
- It now featured front disc brakes and was powered by a 124bhp, 2,912cc BMC C-Series and a four-speed box with overdrive as an option
- This fabulous 1960 example has been the subject of a ground-up restoration over many years by Orchard Restorations including a new chassis, reconditioned steel monocoque, and lightweight aluminium wings and aprons
- The engine has been rebuilt with lead-free valve seats and rebuilt SU carbs and the differential and overdrive gearbox have been rebuilt with new bearings
- Completely rewired with a new loom and fitted with a new distributor, new brakes, clutch, and a recon starter motor and dynamo
- Beautifully presented in Aston Martin Racing Green over a black leather interior, new trim and carpets, and a full double tonneau, hood and sidescreens
- Supplied with a good history file with many photographs and invoices relating to the restoration
- An attractive 'Big Healey' with many lightweight panels as an homage to the lightweight Healeys of the period and, with its side-exit exhaust, it sounds as good as it looks.
