Rare and beautiful, the Doretti combines practical TR2 mechanics with Italianate elegance.
DESCRIPTION
- Built by The Swallow Coachbuilding Co. (1935) at The Airport, Walsall, Staffordshire
- Box-section tube chassis, TR2 mechanicals. 1,991cc, OHV, 90bhp, four-cylinder
- Doretti production ceased in 1955 after only 276 had been completed
- This example has been restored in recent years to a good useable standard by a retired engineer
- Mechanically enhanced with 86mm pistons and liners, a fast road cam, hardened valve seats, rare Le Mans inlet manifold with twin HS6 carburettors, low-port cylinder head, a high-torque starter, new fuel pump and hydraulic master cylinder
- Quite a number survive and there is an active Owner's Club. With just over 500 running-in miles covered, this rare Doretti is ready to be enjoyed once again as intended

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the WEC by 1pm on Monday 11th therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
