DESCRIPTION

  • The Matchless G9 was launched at the Earls Court motorcycle show in 1948 along with the corresponding AJS Model 20
  • The design altered little over the years with the biggest change being the Burman gearbox in 1952. Production ceased in 1961
  • Part of a deceased estate
  • This correct numbers 'garage find' example is a rare 'export model'
  • UK registered from new and complete with its original RF60 'buff' log book
  • Same owner since 1979
  • Featured in 1997 in The Classic Motorcycle with a copy included
  • History file with old V5, old MOTs, old tax discs, some old photos, and owners manual
  • Restored in the 1990s to its current condition
