DESCRIPTION
- During the early 1950s, Vincent were at the top of their game and the Series C Black Shadow represented the pinnacle of British motorcycling
- Capable of 120mph, it was easily the fastest vehicle on the roads in post-war Britain
- Still an icon today and sought after by enthusiasts and collectors alike
- This matching numbers example is presented in good overall condition
- Originally shipped new to dealers Kings of Oxford and was sold new with its current registration number
- Our vendor purchased the bike at the age of 17 in 1963, has owned it ever since, and is a lifetime member of the Vincent Owners Club
- Used regularly up until about 20 years ago and not ridden on the road for last 10 years
- Started up about 5 years ago, engine turns over with good compression
- Fitted over the years with Akront alloy rims, upgraded carburettors, a front cylinder head fitted to the rear cylinder, and modified seat stays
- Supplied with an old RF60 'buff' log book, an original Vincent parts book, numerous old receipts, and a Vincent maintenance book
- A small collection of spares included as pictured
- Known and verified by the Vincent Owners Club
