SUMMARY
An older restoration, this mostly original Raynal Auto 98cc is in a good, presentable condition but will require some light recommissioning before use, having stood for some time.
DESCRIPTION
- Raynal first began making bikes in 1937 and they were hailed as a “completely new motorcycle" at the time of the launch
- Production recommenced post-WW2 and continued until 1950 when Raynal was acquired by Raleigh
- Their first offering was the 'Auto', an autocycle powered by the 98cc Villiers Junior engine fitted into an open ladies-style frame equipped with sprung, bicycle-type front fork and hub brakes
- Previously restored to some extent and in good overall condition with a mellow patina
- Displaying the registration number, JBB 897. The paperwork for the bike has been misplaced, so the new owner will need to apply to DVLA for a new V5
- A great candidate for further restoration, or just recommission and enjoy as is
