SUMMARY

To be featured in Ant Anstead: Born Mechanic, this vintage Chummy is ready for VSCC events, and is offered without reserve.

DESCRIPTION

  • The Chummy's early history is unknown, but was purchased in 1970 by the previous owner who kept the car for over 50 years until purchased by Ant for the Born Mechanic show
  • Much work had been carried out over the years, ensuring the car is good condition; it was repainted Burgundy and Black at some time in the 1990s
  • Works carried out for the TV show include overhauling the braking system, fixing the dynamo, respoking the front wire wheels and fitting LED bulbs. The original canvas hood has been rejuvenated, front seats retrimmed and the remaining original trim cleaned
  • A very solid car that has been much loved and maintained over the years - nicknamed Sylvia and sign written to the bonnet
  • A good history file accompanies the car, including maintenance receipts, period correspondence and photos
