Citroen DS 21 Super 5

The Citroen DS was introduced by the French company in 1955 and produced in various derivatives over the next 20 years, becoming the company's most successful model with over 1.5 million sold by the end of production in 1975. The DS was designed by an Italian and became instantly recognisable for its aerodynamic and futuristic shape and innovative technology, including a hydropneumatic self levelling suspension.

This particular car was purchased by the vendor in 2010 as a low mileage example in need of some TLC. The car was sent to Bodyshop 3000 Ltd. in Baston, Lincs where it was subject to a thorough restoration from the chassis up and a complete respray. (Photographs available in the lot's history file). The interior was also totally refurbished at the same time. All parts purchased came from 'Citroen Classics' in Staines and all engine work was done by Northfields Garage, Stamford. Receipts are available to view in the history file of this particuar lot for all monies spent.

Coming with an MOT till November (and previous MOTs back till 1998), this apparently thoroughly restored example is a rare find with just 18,000 miles recorded, especially at this price guide.
