DESCRIPTION
Background
Launched in 1996, the Jaguar XK8 marked a fresh chapter in the marque's grand touring tradition. With sleek lines penned by Geoff Lawson, the XK8 evoked the elegance of classic E-Types while introducing Jaguar’s first production V8 engine, the 4.2-litre AJ-V8. Coupled with a smooth automatic transmission and a cosseting interior, it proved to be a compelling blend of performance, comfort and timeless design.
The Car
First registered in May 2002 and presented in ebony black, this car came quite late in the production run, which is always a welcome detail. Over the last 22 years, it has covered approximately 134,000 miles, with the current custodian having cared for the car since 2020. It has had six former keepers.
The condition of the car is excellent. The bodywork and underbody are in good order, and the interior is excellent and very well kept, as shown in the photographs.
The history is documented via a substantial file chronicling the car’s maintenance over the years, with both main dealers and specialists used. There are fourteen service stamps, with the most recent service carried out at 123,600 miles. Recent maintenance includes a new battery, new front tyres, and replacement rear wheel sensors. The car also benefits from stainless steel back pipes and is showing no warning lights.
It is supplied recently serviced, with an MOT valid until May 2026, and comes with a fitted outdoor cover.
