DESCRIPTION

Background:
Launched in 1993, the Silver Spirit III marked the final evolution of Rolls-Royce’s long-wheelbase saloon, offering subtle visual updates and meaningful mechanical refinements over its predecessor. Key enhancements included improved cylinder heads and electronic fuel injection, resulting in a notable increase in power, while interior comfort was further improved with revised seating and updated switchgear.

As one of the last models built before the BMW-led era, the Silver Spirit III represents a significant chapter in Rolls-Royce history. Built in limited numbers, it offers the unmistakable presence and craftsmanship of a traditionally engineered Rolls-Royce, with the added usability of modernised components.

The Car:

First registered on 15th of May 1995 and supplied by Appleyard Rippon of Leeds, this Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit III is presented in the striking combination of Peacock Blue with Magnolia coachlines. The interior is trimmed in Magnolia hide with Royal Blue piping, a Royal Blue top roll and contrasting Magnolia knee roll. Luxurious dark blue Wilton carpets are complemented by sheepskin over-rugs, while rich Burr Walnut veneers adorn the fascia and door cappings. A hide-trimmed steering wheel with veneer detailing completes the specification.

The sheer quantity and quality of the service records are what set this car apart from others. The service book has been stamped so many times that pages have had to be added. This car was first maintained by marque specialists Balmoral UK in April 2002 and has remained under their care since, with regular servicing and maintenance carried out by the same marque specialist. The accompanying documentation includes the original handbook, service book and a detailed history file supporting a continuous and well-documented service record. The most recent keeper has continued to uphold this standard with meticulous attention to maintenance and presentation. Underneath is also clean having been Waxoyled at some stage, full images in gallery.

Presented in excellent condition throughout, the Silver Spirit III combines a commanding road presence with the traditional values of the marque. With production figures remaining modest, these later SZ models are gaining recognition as a refined and increasingly rare modern classic.
