SUMMARY
Extensive history file, recent expenditure exceeding £15,000 and MOT valid until July 2026.
DESCRIPTION
Background:
Introduced in 1977 as the long wheelbase counterpart to the Silver Shadow II, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II represented the pinnacle of British luxury motoring in the late 1970s. Powered by the marque’s proven 6.75-litre V8 engine with a smooth three-speed automatic gearbox, the model benefited from power-assisted rack and pinion steering and self-levelling suspension. The longer wheelbase provided additional rear legroom, ensuring supreme comfort for both chauffeur-driven and owner-driver use alike.
The Car:
First registered in 1979, this Silver Wraith II presents as a well-maintained and highly usable example of the Crewe-built flagship saloon. The car is accompanied by a substantial history file documenting regular maintenance and expenditure of more than £15,000 since 2015, with no expense spared. In 2024, a new starter motor was fitted, complementing the car’s continued programme of upkeep.
An MOT certificate is valid until 31 July 2026, with the car is supplied with its original Rolls-Royce brochures, adding to its period charm and provenance. The car drives exceptionally well and is mechanically on point, with no hesitations and smooth operation throughout.
The car presents beautifully today. We understand it was repainted to a high standard fairly recently, and that finish still presents superbly. The interior is also excellent, with the leather and wood veneer in outstanding condition, as is the headlining. Underneath, the car is rot-free and the engine bay is extremely well detailed, placing it among the cleanest Wraiths IIs available today.
Overall, this Silver Wraith II offers the opportunity to acquire a distinguished example of one of Rolls-Royce’s most refined models, supported by strong maintenance history and long-term preservation.
