Ducati launched the race-inspired Panigale in 2011 and it remains in production today and available as a V-Twin or V-Four
The engine is a stressed member of the chassis, replacing the earlier trellis-type frame
This 2018 Panigale 1199R F18 V2 variant is one of the ex-Marco Melandri FIM WKSB run by the Aruba IT Racing Team
2018 was the last year of the V2 Panigale race bikes
Melandri amassed a total of 297 Championship points that year and finished fifth overall
