SUMMARY
Final year UK-car in Silver Mist Metallic — a beautifully preserved example of Toyota’s mid-engined sports icon.
DESCRIPTION
- The second-generation MR2 (SW20) was developed under Toyota’s celebrated 1980s 'Fun to Drive' philosophy, with chassis tuning input from Lotus engineers to achieve the perfect balance between agility and stability
- This 1999 example is among the final Revision 5 UK-market cars, featuring revised suspension geometry, clear-lens lighting, 15" alloys, and a factory T-Bar glass roof with its original storage bags
- Finished in Silver Mist Metallic (Code 199) with a contrasting black roof, it presents strikingly well and represents the ultimate evolution of the Mk2 MR2
- Powered by the 2-litre 16-valve Twin-Cam (3S-GE) engine and paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing around 170bhp and delivering near-perfect 45:55 weight distribution
- Owned by one lady from new until 2024, covering just 51,000 miles, and accompanied by its original stamped service book and ownership documents
- A time-warp survivor from Toyota’s golden era - unmodified, low-mileage, and one of the very last UK-delivered MR2s, offering a rare opportunity to experience one of the best balanced sports cars of its generation
