1998 Ducati 996RS Corse ex-Troy Bayliss 996cc

• The 996RS Corse was a track focused competition machine and not road-legal
• Based loosely on the road going Ducati 998, which was the last of the Tamburini designed bikes initiated with the ground-breaking 916
• This example was the Number 1 bike ridden by Troy Bayliss during the 1998 season
• Purchased for our client by his sister in 1999
• Complete with a receipt dated 6/11/98 stating deposit taken for 'No1 Troy Bayliss factory-chassis including Titanium exhaust and spare Dymag wheels and signed by John Hackett'
• Same owner since 1999 and used at various track events including Mallory Park 1000 Bikes, Olivers Mount, Cadwell Park, and was awarded 'Best Ducati' at Donington Park DOC Anniversary. Most recently on track at a CRMC parade at Donington in 2025
• Engines have been rebuilt and maintained by Chris Mayhew
• The Lot includes a spare 996RS engine, spare Dymag wheels fitted with AP Racing discs, paddock stand and roller starter
