DESCRIPTION
- The S Series marked the return of TVR from the distinctive looks of the 'wedge' cars to a more traditional design
- Introduced in 1990, the S3 featured a stiffer chassis, new bodywork with 4" longer doors and a revised interior
- It retained the 2.9-litre Ford Cologne V6 which generated 168bhp and 191lb/ft and offered 0-60 in 6.8 seconds on the way to around 140mph
- First registered in October 1991, this S3 290S has been very carefully maintained over the years supported by a large and comprehensive history file
- The file includes the original book pack with service card stamped fully, mostly by TVR main agents, a handwritten account of ownership, numerous supporting invoices for maintenance and upkeep, and a copy of ‘The TVR S Series’ owners maintenance manual
- The car presents very well in gleaming white with a smart interior in dark blue leather. The Targa hood sections fit well and presents very nicely and the engine bay and boot are tidy. The exhaust and manifolds are good and we understand that the chassis is in excellent condition
- It is fitted with a Thatcham-approved Cobra immobiliser
- At the time of cataloguing, the TVR started easily, sounded very healthy and manoeuvred well on the photoshoot and, for full bidder confidence, it will be presented to auction with a fresh MOT
- Described by our vendor as ‘unbelievably reliable’ this is a good opportunity to secure a modern classic British sports car with relatively basic mechanicals that would be well received at any motor-show or TVR club event

Vehicles must be collected from Sywell Aerodrome, NN6 0BN on Monday 18th May between 9am and 2pm. Please note that due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the site by 2pm on Monday 18th May. Full payment must be received before any items are available to be released.
Any vehicles not collected by 2pm on Monday 18th May will be taken to EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton at a cost of £195 plus VAT for a standard sized vehicle and £275 plus VAT for larger vehicles. Storage will be charged at £12 plus VAT per day from the Monday for the first 14 days and £40 plus VAT per week thereafter.
