SUMMARY
Restored by a Fiat main dealer to outstanding condition, this superb right-hand drive Uno Turbo is believed to be one of the very best examples remaining.
DESCRIPTION
- Introduced in 1985 as Fiat’s first performance hatch, the Uno Turbo combined light weight and turbocharged punch to great effect. The updated Mk2 of 1989 added refinement and a sharper appearance
- First registered in 1991, this UK-supplied right-hand drive car has been the subject of a full restoration by a Fiat main agent before joining a private Fiat collection
- Finished in gleaming white with renewed trim, glass and seals, the cabin retains its original fabric upholstery and period correct fittings throughout
- Its 1,372cc turbocharged four-cylinder engine features a forged internal package by Coventry Automotive, including Wossner pistons and PEC steel con rods, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox
- Tastefully enhanced with Mk1-style badges, film-tinted fog lights, a new rear spoiler and a modern insurance-approved tracker, with all modifications fully reversible
- Documentation includes a detailed engine build sheet, 17 service stamps in the original booklet, numerous invoices, MOT Certificates, inspection report, both keys and handbooks, supported by a complete ownership history from new. A Fiat main dealer lubrication service and fresh MOT will also take place prior to auction
- An exceptional and highly original example of Fiat’s celebrated hot-hatch, ideal for the serious collector or as a standout museum exhibit
