SUMMARY

A 'time warp' Mini 30 with just over 10,000 miles and two former keepers, an immaculate example of this limited edition British icon.

DESCRIPTION

Created to celebrate 30 years of the iconic Mini, the Austin Mini 30 was launched in 1989 as a limited edition model marking three decades since the original Mini first rolled off the production line in 1959. Based on the Mini City, the 30 combined classic charm with a few luxury touches and unique styling cues that made it stand out from the standard range.

Available exclusively in Cherry Red or Black Pearl metallic, the Mini 30 featured Coachline graphics with commemorative badging, half-leather seats with red piping, a colour-coded interior, and 13" Minilite-style wheels. Power came from the familiar 998cc A-series engine, offering lively performance and nimble handling.

Limited to just 3,000 examples for the UK-market, the Mini 30 marked the end of an era, bridging the gap between the original 1960s spirit and the final Rover-era Minis that would follow. Today, it remains one of the most collectible special editions and a true celebration of Britain’s best loved small car.

Offered here is surely one of the most remarkably well preserved examples of the Austin Mini 30 in existence, showing just over 10,000 miles from new and having had only two previous keepers. The original purchase order form confirms this limited edition Mini was ordered in June 1989 and supplied on 1st August 1989 by Austin Rover franchise Roy Smith Garage Limited of Wallington, Surrey. The accompanying service book documents a continuous history of maintenance by the supplying dealer at regular intervals from 1989 through to 2008.

Today, this Mini 30 presents in immaculate condition, clearly benefiting from careful storage and attentive maintenance throughout its life. It starts instantly and, we are informed, continues to perform exceptionally well.

Accompanying the Mini is a comprehensive history file containing the original book pack with service book, supporting invoices, a Mini 30 sales brochure, the V5C registration document, numerous MOT Certificates, and a wealth of further documentation evidencing its careful upkeep.

This is a super smart and delightfully original example of one of the most charming later Minis. Offered at an accessible price point, the Mini 30 is easy to maintain, well supported by a vast network of specialists and parts suppliers, and remains the quintessential British classic. This example is guaranteed to turn heads at shows and bring endless enjoyment to its next proud custodian.
