SUMMARY
A smart second generation GTi benefiting from much expenditure in the past and a recent recommission.
DESCRIPTION
- Powered by a 1.8-litre, naturally aspirated inline-four, producing around 110bhp, driving the front wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission
- This is an original, UK-supplied car first registered on 04/07/1984, supposedly ordered direct from Germany with power steering and a, not often seen, leather interior
- Supplied with historic MOT certificates dating back from 1993
- Recent recommissioning amounting to £4,500 including a full cambelt service, coolant system overhaul, new radiator, thermostat, cooling pipes and much more. Full details are in the car's history file and are available on request
- There is documented evidence of extensive body restoration and we believe the decision was taken to re-shell this GTi during these restoration works some time ago
- A worthy consideration for those looking for a nicely sorted GTi that can be driven and enjoyed as intended
