DESCRIPTION
A faithful and meticulously executed modern recreation of the iconic Ford Sierra Group A rally car, this example has been constructed to contemporary motorsport standards with uncompromising attention to detail throughout. Finished in the instantly recognisable 1989 Ford Racing Lombard Rally livery, it captures the spirit of Ford’s rallying heyday while benefiting from modern engineering, safety and reliability.
At its heart is a freshly rebuilt Cosworth YB engine, prepared by A1 Rally Sport and unused since completion, requiring only careful running-in before use. Power is delivered through a heavy-duty Quaife G69 sequential gearbox, complemented by a limited-slip differential and competition-spec drivetrain components. Motorsport-grade electronics include a Pectel Ford Motorsport ECU with a newly installed wiring loom, ensuring dependable performance in demanding conditions.
The chassis and running gear have been comprehensively upgraded to competition specification and AP Racing 5000+ brakes are fitted front and rear, supported by Aeroquip braided lines and a cockpit-adjustable Tilton brake-bias system. Proflex motorsport suspension, reinforced strut towers, bladed roll bars and a fully adjustable rear beam provide exceptional control, while alloy hubs, steering arms and suspension components further enhance durability and precision.
Lightweight bodywork elements include a carbon-Kevlar bonnet and front and rear bumpers, with Group A widebody rally specification completing the purposeful stance. Gunmetal Compomotive five-spoke alloy wheels sit beneath the arches, while roof-mounted air intake and brake cooling ducts underline the car’s competition intent.
Inside, the cabin is configured for serious motorsport use, featuring Sparco Q-RT bucket seats with FIA-homologated Sabelt harnesses, a suede race dashboard, Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel and comprehensive Stack instrumentation. Safety equipment includes a full 12-point welded Safety Devices roll cage, Lifeline fire suppression system, Cartek battery isolator and engine kill system, along with internal and external cut-off switches. An aluminium race fuel tank with side filler and Bosch fuel pump complete the specification.
Having undergone a full modern rebuild and showing effectively zero competitive mileage since completion, this Sierra represents an exceptional opportunity for historic rallying, tarmac events, demonstration use or competitive motorsport. Accompanied by a Motorsport UK Logbook issued in 2022 and valid until 2032, it is eligible for immediate entry into sanctioned events.

Please note all lots must be removed from the venue no later than 2pm on Monday 23rd February. Collections will be from 9am - 2pm. If you cannot collect yourself, please do get in touch with our transport partner, EM Rogers, who will be happy to help you.
Uplift by EM Rogers back to their storage facility in Northampton is £175 plus VAT for a standard sized vehicle and prices start from £275 plus VAT for larger vehicles. Storage will be charged at £12 plus VAT per day from the Monday for the first 14 days then £40 + vat per week from there on.
