SUMMARY
A time-warp 1275 GT showing just 38,931 miles, finished in black with gold decals and offered from storage since 1984.
DESCRIPTION
- Introduced in 1969 to replace the Cooper S, the Mini 1275 GT featured a sportier specification, square-front styling and stronger performance aimed at bringing the classic Mini into the 1970s
- First registered in 1979, the vehicle was owned by a friend of the current owner, used until 1984 when it was placed in a carpeted garage as the family grew. It then remained there until his passing
- Purchased by its current vendor in 2019, it was fitted with new ignition components, was run and checked over before being placed back into a private collection until now
- Well preserved, it has covered just 38,931 miles, with a stamped service book to 1980 and the final Tax Disc expiring in June 1984
- Finished in black with gold Mini 1275 GT side-stripe decals over a grey and black stripe patterned interior, sitting on 12" wheels and displaying fine period detailing throughout
- Powered by a 1,275cc inline-four engine producing around 59bhp, driving the front wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox
- Supplied with its original Mini 1275 GT handbook, Passport to Service and period invoices
- This rare survivor represents an exciting opportunity for the collector or enthusiast seeking a remarkably original unrestored late 1275 GT
