SUMMARY

An exciting 'garage find' Capri 2.0 S project, offering an opportunity to restore one of Ford’s most admired performance coupés.

DESCRIPTION

  • Introduced in 1978, the MkIII Capri was the final evolution of Ford’s celebrated fastback coupé, built in Cologne, Germany, and was admired for its sharp styling and balanced performance
  • This example is finished in 2.0 S specification, combining classic late 1970s styling cues with sporting details that made the model a popular choice among driving enthusiasts
  • Powered by the 2-litre overhead-cam 'Pinto' four-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, delivering the reliable and flexible performance for which these cars are known
  • Retaining its period correct body, the car offers a sound basis for a full restoration to original road-going condition
  • We are advised by the vendor that it has been off the road for a number of years and will require mechanical and cosmetic attention before returning to use
  • An appealing and seldom-seen Capri 2.0 S project that represents a rewarding opportunity for any Ford enthusiast or restorer
