SUMMARY
A well equipped petrol Series III Station Wagon supplied new by Leyland Cars, with its original bill of sale and a selection of period extras.
DESCRIPTION
- Introduced in 1971, the Land Rover Series III remained in production until 1985 and represented the final evolution of the traditional Series Land Rovers before the advent of the 90 and 110 models
- Originally supplied by Leyland Cars to Southern Counties Garages Ltd of Crawley, with the original bill of sale on file. Finished in a classic Bronze Green and Limestone Land Rover colour scheme with a Safari hardtop, deluxe front seats and trim, rear seating and original fittings retained
- Powered by the 2¼-litre petrol engine driving via a manual gearbox, with Fairey overdrive and free-wheeling front hubs for more relaxed cruising
- Factory options when new included a wing mirror, fuel filler lock, towbar, deluxe interior trim, heater, seatbelts and steering column lock, all specified on the original sales invoice – all retained to this day
- Purchased by our vendor in 2012 and used sparingly since, remaining in running and driving order
- Supplied with the original bill of sale and accompanying paperwork
