SUMMARY

A rare 1970 Honda CB750, thought to be one of the first four official UK bikes brought into the country. Finished in the correct Candy Ruby Red, correct numbers, and retaining its original UK-market rear light and HM300 exhausts. Restored to near concours standard and magazine-featured.

DESCRIPTION

  • Launched in 1969, the Honda CB750 is widely considered to be the genesis of the modern superbike, its four-cylinder engine, front disc brake and electric start set a new benchmark in performance and reliability. UK-supplied examples are extremely rare, especially those with known early provenance
  • Registered new in the UK in January 1970, this particular K0 is one of approximately 20 early examples imported by Honda to 'test the water' prior to wider release. It is believed to be one of the first four CB750s brought into the country, making it a highly significant machine in British and Japanese motorcycling history
  • Finished in the correct Candy Ruby Red and is a correct numbers example, retaining its original UK-market rear light and key factory details such as correct HM300 exhausts
  • The bike has been restored to near concours condition and is confirmed running with the odometer showing only 100 miles since restoration
  • Featured in numerous magazine articles some of which are included in the history file that's with the bike
  • Supplied with a current V5C, restoration information and some service and MOT history
