SUMMARY

Beautifully presented 998cc MkII, restored to a remarkable standard some years ago and patently cossetted ever since.

DESCRIPTION

On offer here is a right-hand drive MkII Cooper with the 998cc engine and is fresh to market being offered from its private owner for the past 11 years. First registered on 23rd May 1968, the car is finished in Island Blue with an Old English White top and fitted with original Dunlop alloy wheels and all new tyres.

The interior is excellent and presents really well in Powder Blue and Gold Brocade with Powder Blue carpets and has been optioned with the rare Cooper 'S' reclining seats and the very rare fitted picnic baskets under the rear seats. The Mini was extensively restored in 2003 with little mileage since and the gearbox was fully rebuilt only 1,500 miles ago. Upgrades include recently fitted with Cooper S front discs and calipers, a brake servo and a rev counter.

The Mini has been enjoyed by just four previous owners and is accompanied by an excellent history file tracing its provenance, along with old Tax Discs, previous MOTs and the current one which is valid until 10th September 2026. This a is a desirable little second generation 'Coop', classically presented, sensibly upgraded and in excellent overall condition. We recommend all interested parties to come along and inspect the car at the NEC.
