SUMMARY

A classic trials bike from Sprite Motorcycles in Halesowen powered by a 244cc Villiers two-stroke single. In 'barn find' condition and will need recommissioning, a great candidate for a classic trials restoration project.

DESCRIPTION

  • Sprite was a long established British builder of off-road motorcycles originating in Smethwick and then later in Halesowen, Worcstershire
  • The bikes were available in kit form to avoid purchase tax with the sale slogan "Built by riders - for riders"
  • Two variants were made, a trials bike and a scrambler, the trials bike had narrow parallel down tubes whereas the scrambler had splayed down tubes in order to house a remote oil tank in the frame
  • This 1967 trials bike is fitted with a 244cc Villiers two-stroke engine
  • The bike is in 'barn find' condition and will need recommissioning, a great candidate for a classic trials restoration project
  • Supplied with a UK registration document and offered without reserve
