SUMMARY
This Series I 2+2 has been converted to right-hand drive and manual gearbox specification and benefits from an older full body restoration.
DESCRIPTION
- Introduced in 1966, the Series I 4.2-litre E-Type 2+2 offered greater practicality over the Fixed Head Coupé and remains an appealing entry point into E-Type ownership
- First registered in 1967, this example was originally supplied by Jaguar New York and remained in the US until imported in 2013 to the UK where it has been family owned ever since
- Subject to a full body restoration approximately 10 to 15 years ago, with a left-hand drive to right-hand drive conversion at some point
- Presented in Carmen Red with a covered headlight conversion, what are believed to be, its original rear seats, a reupholstered dashboard and front seats, and refurbished boot floor
- Powered by the classic XK 4.2-litre straight-six engine, now non-matching numbers, converted from automatic to manual transmission and fitted with an electronic fuel pump and electric cooling fan
- Benefiting from uprated front brakes, stainless steel heater pipes and replacement hoses, suspension components and bushes
- Supplied with some American paperwork, restoration photos and some period photos
- A usable and well-specified Series I 2+2 with sensible upgrades, offering classic E-Type style with added space and at a very sensible guide
