1963 Triumph TR4 Competition Car

On offer here is a road registered, left-hand drive, race-spec TR4 that’s formed part of the private owners stable since 2017. Our vendor has developed the car in his nine years of ownership as a proven reliable and competitive (in the right hands) FIA spec Pre-'65 car. The HTP papers expired in 2022 but could be renewed and the TR4 has been in more recent years raced with Equipe, CSCC, and HRDC and would be eligible for many more series.

Engine:

• Originally built by TR Enterprises
• New head casting fully race prepared by Peter May
• Steel crank, con rods and flywheel with forged pistons all balanced
• TRE camshaft and competition valve springs. Hydraulic timing chain tensioner

Gearbox:

• Quaife SCCR gear set built by TRE with competition overdrive
• 4-paddle clutch with competition cover

Axle:

• Uprated half-shafts, bearings and hubs by BPA
• Gripper diff with lowest CWP

Brakes:

• Original front calipers reconditioned by Classic Car Automotive
• TRE dual master cylinder kit, new wheel cylinders
• Alfin aluminium drums

• Aluminium foam filled tank by Alloy Racing Fabrications
