DESCRIPTION

  • The Triumph 21 was the name given to the Triumph 3TA, a 350cc twin cylinder motorcycle, produced from 1957 to 1966, first introduced to mark Triumph's 21st anniversary
  • It was notable as the first Triumph motorcycle to feature unit-construction with an integrated engine and gearbox, and it became known for its distinctive fully enclosed rear end, which earned it the nickname the 'Bathtub'
  • Designed by Edward Turner, with a 349cc engine, single carburettor and a 4-speed, foot-change gearbox
  • This matching numbers example, with fitted integrated panniers, was first registered on 01/04/1961 to Aldershot dealers, Archer and Son
  • Used regularly by Jim up until 2023, it may require some light recommissioning, prior to returning to the road
