A superbly presented early Mk2 in Light British Racing Green with Suede Green leather, long-term history, and its original registration, 3 GNK.
DESCRIPTION
- The definitive Jaguar sports saloon, this Mk2 3.8 was supplied by Imperial Motor Mart and first registered on 23/06/1961 to Company Accountant, Mr E.G. Roberts of Cheltenham
- Finished in a light shade of British Racing Green with a beautifully preserved Suede Green leather interior, this early production example is equipped with the desirable 3.8-litre straight-six engine, 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, and chrome wire wheels
- The Registration Number, 3 GNK, is believed to have remained with the car from new and is included in the sale
- Extensively documented from first ownership, including the original Bill of Sale, service and operating manuals, manufacturer’s warranty card, maintenance voucher, Radiomobile guarantee, Castrol lubrication wallet, and early service history back to 1961
- Purchased by the previous keeper in 2013, the car joined a private Jaguar collection and was stripped for inspection and repainted to its current fine standard
- Believed to feature the rare high-ratio steering box, a period option often associated with Coombs-specification cars
- The odometer currently reads 80,105 miles which is consistent with the documented ownership trail and supported by numerous service invoices
- A highly authentic, early registration Mk2 complete with its remarkable original documentation and long term provenance, a fine example of Jaguar’s most charismatic saloon

Uplift by EM Rogers back to their storage facility in Northampton is £175 plus VAT. Storage is £10 plus VAT per day for the first seven days and £40 plus VAT per week thereafter.
